Skegness and District runners took part in the North Midlands Cross Country league and a Remembrance Sunday run in Norfolk.
Saturday, 10 November saw the latest race in the North Midlands Cross Country league, which took place at Wicksteed Park in Kettering. Tammy Rainbow represented the club, completing the 6k women’s race in 28min 55sec. Tammy is ninth in her age category in the league so far with two more races to go.
On Remembrance Sunday, seven runners from the club took part in the second George Mundy 10k at Leverington, hosted by the Three Counties Running Club. Angela Thompson was first back for the club and, despite the windy conditions, bagged an amazing new PB of 45min 34sec. Angela was the fifth lady overall and also came second overall in her age category. Second and third back for the club were Ian Kocko and Leanne Rickett in 47min 41sec and 47min 42sec respectively.
Other runners back for the club were Barry Norton 1hour 8min 57sec, Janet Norton 1hour 12min 31sec, Katy Taylor 1hour 14min 49sec and Steve Fruen , 1hour 14min 52sec.
